This video demonstrates an evisceration with PMMA implant. Dr. Watson performs a peritomy, removes the intraocular contents, then uses absolute alcohol to denate the remaining uveal tissues. She then divides the sclera into four petals and excises a portion of the posterior sclera and the adjacent optic never to access the intraconal space and facilitate placement of an aptly-sized implant.
