Dr. Anhalt completed his undergraduate education at Trinity University in San Antonio. He spent several years with the Peace Corps teaching in a rural mountain village in Lesotho before returning for medical school at the University of Texas San Antonio and Ophthalmology residency at Wills Eye Hospital. He completed an Academic Global Ophthalmology Fellowship through the Wills Eye Center for Academic Global Ophthalmology, during which he collaborated with local providers to treat blinding eye conditions in underserved communities around the world. He enjoys teaching medical students and residents and serves as Co-Director of the Wills Eye Academic Global Ophthalmology Fellowship.
